WIP Wednesday…sorta

So I don’t have a lot of WIPs with you to share today. I’m still working on the baby blanket. Well, ‘working on it’ might be a bit of a stretch…it’s still sitting in a bag and needs to be finished. I have made some progress on the striped infinity scarf, and I actually finished the cowl from the last post, but I don’t have any photos of it, and technically it’s not finished as I haven’t woven in the ends or blocked it yet…

Well here’s the infinity scarf so far. I have to say the yarn is quite lovely. It’s Blue Sky Metalico, in every color that they have (though I haven’t used all the colors yet…)

Instead of working on actual knitting projects I’ve been knitting lots of swatches and sketching new ideas… And yes, that is Penelope the Apathetic Pin Cushion in the background.

I also got a new camera a couple weeks ago, and Brian and I have had fun taking random pictures. Hopefully you will also enjoy viewing them!

I think this is Brian’s way of telling me he’s bored…5:22-6

I like to make weird faces, but I guess the new camera doesn’t appreciate my weird faces because this photo is a little blurry.

I love cacti, and I Brian brought me some from the hardware store!5:22-4

We found this tiny turtle when walking around the lake behind our apartment. 5:22-3

What have you been knitting (or not knitting) lately?

What am I knitting? Blanket designed by and intended for Mari. Christmas stockings. Finishing up a summer sweater for myself – hoping to wear it in Washington DC with Mari and Brian.

I’m working on a pair of fingerless mitts for my niece (my own design). And attempting to seam a sweater (ack!). I love your infinity scarf and how you’re striping the colors! Looks great!

Seaming a sweater isn’t so bad! Try welting it and trying it on before you actually seam, that way you can adjust a bit before you’ve sewn it all together.

  3. Your infinity scarf looks gorgeous! I love the yarn you’ve chosen! And what a cute little frog!
