15 Minute Cowl!

You may or may not know, but I have a pretty cool day job at Stitchcraft Marketing. I get to talk about yarn with the people who make it, and others in the fiber business. For a girl obsessed with all things yarn it’s a pretty sweet deal.

One of the awesome companies I work with is The Bagsmith. In my last post I wrote about my Block & Roll. Well I have another great item from The Bagsmith that I can’t help but blab about!

I’m sure you’ve probably all seen it. There’s a new fad in knitting: arm knitting. At first I thought this was a silly gimmick. You hold a few strands of bulky yarn together to make a scarf that doesn’t really look like much of anything. As far as I can tell it looks like limp string hanging around your neck–not my favorite look.

Then I remembered the bump of Bagsmith Big Stitch Merino sitting on the shelf behind my desk, and I thought…that’s it! They’ve been using the wrong yarn! Fifteen minutes later I was wearing this little cowl! That’s right, it only took me 15 minutes! After we took these photos of it I just kept wearing it! I have really sensitive skin and can only wear really fine merino yarns, and this cowl wasn’t itchy at all on my skin.arm knit scarf2 arm knit scarf1

Check out this video by The Bagsmith on arm knitting with a Big Stitch Merino Bump…those hands look familiar?
