I’m excited to finally release my newest sweater design, With A Twist, into the wild! This sweater was knit with the beautiful Erika Knight Vintage Wool, an English aran weight wool yarn that has a great stitch definition and that squishy wooly feeling that I adore.
The sweater features a large cable pattern on the back of the sweater and then repetitions of the parts of those cables on the fronts and sleeves. I saw the cable on the sleeve of the sweater in one of Barbra Walker’s Treasury of Knitting Patterns and thought had the idea for a sweater that had cables that coordinated without matching. The sweater shown here is worn with some positive ease–meaning that the sweater is larger than the bust of the wearer, making for a looser fit.
This year at TNNA I was lucky enough to meet Rob, Clare, and Pam from Blue Water Fibers, the US distributors of Erika Knight Yarns and Erika Knight too! Here’s a photo of me with Erika Knight, Clare, and Pam from TNNA at the Blue Water Fibers booth! I’m sporting the sweater, which was displayed at their booth.
Thanks to Blue Water Fibers for the photos of my sweater. I really love the yarn, and I hope you’ll give it a try! You can purchase the With A Twist pattern here on Ravelry.
