Puppy Love: Koko

posted in: Koko | 16

At the end of last year we adopted our dog, Koko. Since then we’ve been working hard on training her to be a good pet, and so far she’s doing pretty well.

We won’t talk about the recent¬†incident when I had my back turned and she grabbed a skein of yarn out of my office and took it back to her crate to snuggle with. (Don’t worry, no yarn was harmed, just slobbered on a little)

Koko, (C) Mari ChibaIn retrospect a lighter colored dog would have made photographing her much easier…but sometimes you just love the one you love!

And yes, part of her training is learning to ignore treats…you can see the concentration in her face, it’s not easy leaving a tasty treat on the ground!

My Puppy LOVED to grab a ball of yarn out of the big basket and hide it behind the couch. For some reason, she only grabbed pink yarn, never any other color. and not just the same ball, either.

So is your stash full of non-pink yarns only now?! ;)

Yeah, I have to admit sometimes I fake it a little in lightroom after I take the photo!

Your puppy is so cute…I think I asked before but have forgotten just what breed(s) she is? Anyway she is the perfect size and so adorable!

We’re not sure since we got her from a rescue, but we know she has some Corgi in her, and we’re guessing some terrier or jack russel too, she’s very active!

What a cutie pie! I rescued my dog 13 years ago, part Beagle, best dog I have ever had!

Rescue dogs are the best, even if they come with some funny quirks!

Cute dog. Are you a Puppy Raiser? You are training her food distractions.
