FO Friday: Caesious

posted in: knitter, knitting | 10

A few weeks ago I blogged about impulsively winding a lovely skein of Louet Euroflax Sport and casting on for the Caesious shawl by Hunter Hammersen.

I actually finished knitting it in about 10 days, but then it took me another week to wash the darned thing, and a week after that to take photos. Isn’t that how it always goes? Just like I always do with Euroflax I put it through the washing machine and the dryer along with other laundry, and it came out super soft and with wonderful drape.

But as you can see, the edges were curling a bit. This didn’t thrill me, so I spent about 5 minutes with the steam setting on my iron and…voila!

If I were to make it again I think I’d probably use two skeins and make it bigger. Now it’s more of a kerchief length, though very soft and comfortable. Maybe I’ll even wear it?!

The pattern is available on Ravelry and through the book Curls, it’s not a free pattern.
