Interweave Knits Summer 2015

My issue of Interweave Knits Summer 2015 hasn’t arrive in the mail yet, but that isn’t going to stop me from telling all of you about it! I’m really excited for this issue for two reasons, I have my first ever print article in this issue and a design!

See the + 200 Years with Harrisville Designs? That’s my article! I wrote about the wonderful Harrisville Designs, their history and how they keep the textile tradition alive here in the US.

I’m also really excited about my cardigan, the Blue Columbine Cardigan. I designed this cardigan specifically with Harrisville Designs Silk & Wool in mind. The yarn is slightly nubbly and extremely lightweight. It’s 50% raw silk and 50% wool, a perfect blend for a lightweight cardigan. The open front and the lace back make it even lighter and it’s just enough to keep the chill away.

I’m also totally in love with the styling and photography of this cardigan–I couldn’t have imagined anything better suited for the style of this cardigan!

    Hi Mari,

I love this cardigan I found in Interweave Knits magazine.

I have started the pattern but there seems to be a mistake in the
directions for the lace pattern. When I knit the first row of lace I come
up short a stitch. Is it me or is there a misprint in the magazine?

    Thank you for your help.

Well one should read what they have written before pressing the send button. It is the third row of the lace pattern that comes up one stitch short. Thank you.
