Miya Shawl Re-Release

The Miya Shawl was one of my first designs when I started designing while teaching English in China. It’s a lovely little shawl that’s knit from end to end and easy to work. The lace pattern increases and decreases creating the scalloped edging and it’s worked from end to end so it’s easy to make longer if you have more yarn, or make narrower if you’d like more of a scarf.

It was originally designed and knit in Lotus Yarns Miya, but since this yarn has been discontinued I jumped at the opportunity to re-work the design for one skein of Bijou Basin Ranch Xanadu, a soft as can be 100% cashmere yarn.

The pattern has been re-written to take just one skein of this incredibly soft and luxurious yarn, and I can’t imagine a softer shawl/scarf!

The Miya Shawl continues to be one of my most popular patterns, and I’m in love with this new sample! A special thanks to Bijou Basin Ranch, now through September 30th, 2015 you can get free shipping on all domestic orders of Xanadu with the coupon code: MIYA.

So what are you waiting for, get the pattern and the yarn and cast on your own cashmere Miya!

I just tried to buy a skein of this yarn and used the code above MIYA and it would not let me apply it to the order. It says I have to buy $90 to get free shipping. I only wanted to buy 1 Skein to make this shawl with.
