I would knit the hat. I’ve only made a couple of hats and LOTS of mitts, so I need the practice!

The hat looks like a lot of fun to knit and pick up some skills (I learn something new with each project I complete), so that would be my choice. I would make one for my daughter.

They’re both beautiful, but I’m leaning towards the mitts. I’d make myself a pair and offer to make some for my office mates too. We work in an old building with poor heating and I think they’d be great to wear while typing in the winter.

Hi! I think both the hat and mitts are equally beautiful!! I would choose to make the mitts for my sister-in-law. She has a disease that makes her very cold in the winter and makes life difficult for her. The mitts would help keep her hands warm and would be nice because she could wear them inside as well as outside. She wishes she could knit so I know she would appreciate the mitts very much!

I plan on knitting both. I would start with the mitts though. My twin sister and I started walking everyday and after 50 years of being unable to do a pull-up I am also working on a pull up progression. Today, I can manage 1 pull-up mid-walk. By my next birthday I want to be able to do ten – and do them with stylish mitts, no less.

Both are cute. I like the stitch pattern. I’d probably knit the hat, since it’s my fingertips that freeze. I do wish I could see if there is a thumb gusset. I don’t like mitts with holes for the thumb rather than a thumb covering. Thanks.
